Why You Should Study Spanish GCSE
Adding a Spanish GCSE to your repertoire is a choice that you won’t regret. Having a good level of Spanish opens up a world of opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom and with a GCSE Spanish tutor to support you along the way, you will be well prepared for future study or employment.
Not only will capability in understanding, and speaking the Spanish language give you an edge when it comes to applying for many university courses or jobs, but it will also make travelling easier, and will give you the chance to converse with native Spanish speakers in their own language.
Studying a language will also equip you with the ability to tackle complex grammar and vocabulary, and help you to develop an understanding of how language works.
Plus, you will gain a broader appreciation for Spanish culture, including the variety of art, literature, history and philosophy associated with the language, which has had such a significant impact on the world in which we live.
Once you have your GCSE under your belt, the possibilities are limitless; you could go on to study it at A-level, or even opt for a degree in the language, and this can open the door to a huge range of career paths. We do have Spanish A level tutors available to support you if you decide you would like to continue to study the subject after GCSE level.
Many Spanish GCSE holders have gone on to become translators, interpreters, tour guides, or language teachers. You could also use your Spanish to work in marketing, public relations, or journalism – all of which are fields in which a second language, particularly one as widely spoken as Spanish, can be especially useful.
