A Level Grading

As A level online tutors, not only do we want to help you succeed in your exams, but we also want to help you understand how your assessments are graded. A levels are graded on a scale from A* being exceptional performance down to a pass at E. The marks awarded for each grade do vary depending on the subject and individual exam. Although A level grades are important for those moving onto university, they are not the only elements that a university considers. Universities will also consider your personal statements, any references from your teachers and even extracurricular activities. Our A level online tutoring service offers students support with grading, we will take them through past papers and show them where they can pick up marks.

Exam Boards

Our online tutoring for A level covers all exam boards, but it’s best to check with your school or teacher if you are unsure which exam board you are following. It is important to let us know which exam board your school is following as the content taught differs slightly between exam boards. The main exam boards in the UK for A levels are Edexcel, AQA, OCR and CCEA. These exam boards are responsible for setting the exams and marking them as well as choosing the content of your exams and the questions that you will be asked.
