GCSE History Tutors

Our GCSE history tutors introduce students to the subject in a structured way. Students learn about different aspects of British and world history, such as the Industrial Revolution, World War I and II, and the Cold War.

As part of the course, students will be expected to take and pass two papers:

Papers:

  • Paper 1: Understanding the modern world
  • Paper 2: Shaping the nation

In addition, the content comprises the following elements:

  • One period study
  • One thematic study
  • One wider world depth study
  • One British depth study including the historic environment.

A Level History Tutors

Our A level history tutors cover a broad gamut of topics, ranging from the medieval period to the present day. Students will need to demonstrate an understanding of key events and their impact on history. They will need to be able to think critically about different interpretations of historical events, as well as understand how modern developments have been shaped by past occurrences.

In order to pass the A Level, students will need to study:

  • Component 1: Breadth study
  • Component 2: Depth study
  • Component 3: Historical investigation (Personal study)

Students must:

  • Study the history of more than one country
  • Study a British history option for Component 1 or 2
  • Study a non-British history option for Component 1 or 2
  • Study topics from a chronological range of at least 200 years
